Nettle Tincture

 

To make Nettle Tincture, pack a jar with fresh, chopped leaves. Pour over at least 80% proof vodka to fully submerge the nettles. Pop the lid on tightly and shake to fully mix the contents. This should be left to infuse for 4-6 weeks, strained, labelled and then stored in a cool, dark place for up to 5 years. 

Uses: Apply a compress soaked in the tincture to sprains, cramps, sciatica, arthritis, gout, inflammation and tendonitis. 

Take up to a teaspoon, twice each day for hay fever, eczema and inflammation of the skin
